Control Systems

In the field of machinery, control systems are widely regarded as the most important software that determines the final result of hardware performance. Today, metal processing, plastic and rubber injection and extruders are dedicated to installing control systems, rather than manually operating them as before. There are many well-known control systems on the market that account for the highest proportion in the machinery market.

Regarding the beginning of control, it is from analog to digital. Before the CNC system was invented, there was the NC system, which was built around the 1940s. It was designed based on tools adjusted by a motor unit driven by a perforated belt, which was an early servo mechanism. Automate equipment by analog rather than digital. When computers were invented, digital systems were invited to enter the field, thus realizing the concept of computer-based CNC systems.

In the case of drilling

The CNC drilling machine is a drilling machine controlled by a computer numerical control system. The modern CNC drilling machine is a kind of machine tool specially designed for realizing precise deep processing, which is used for hard material drilling tasks.

Programmable CNC drilling is an in-depth research and perfect working model of the machine tool. Due to its multi-tasking and convenient frame design, it can handle multiple types of hole drilling and related boring tasks at a drilling station.

Regarding the development history of the CNC drilling model first is the digital drilling machine that evolved from the design of the traditional drilling machine in the mid-20th century, and then the digital technology of numerical control, so-called semi-drilling technology.

CNC drilling technology is a diversified version of the drilling center, widely used in various industries, for professional and precise purposes, and has contributed to a wide range of industrial achievements for drilling tasks required by customers.

In the case of turning

CNC lathe is also called CNC turning machine, that is a machine tool that rotates a work piece on an axis (usually as the X axis) of rotation to perform various machining operations such as cutting, knurling, sanding, drilling, deformation, facing, and turning. This type of machining process is performed by using a tool for machining the work piece held by the spindle. The clamping mechanism controlled by the CNC system is more robust and fixed.

Due to gravity, manufacturers of vertical lathes usually turn their vertical lathes into industrial sectors that are particularly suitable for high precision. For example, the automotive industry, the aerospace sector, sports equipment applications, and other fields with larger, larger work pieces.

In the case of milling

CNC milling machine is a milling machine equipped with a CNC system, which can complete the entire milling process under the control of a computer numerical control (CNC) system. This type of machine tool is a high-performance machine tool that can handle multiple machining tasks at once.

CNC milling machines are developed on the basis of highly repeatable milling machines. The development of this type of machine tool is progressing well in the industry. Today, CNC milling machines are widely used in various industries and countries.

In the case of boring

CNC boring machine is one of the machine tools used in the whole process. It uses a rotating tool to enlarge a single hole after drilling, for example, boring a barrel or an engine cylinder under the control of a computer numerical control (CNC) system.

Today, such machines are usually controlled by an automatically programmed CNC system, and the accuracy is controlled within a relatively small tolerance range. Depending on the direction of the movement track installed on the machine, the boring method may be different.

Many of the milling machines and machining centers are capable of simple boring work. Furthermore, drilling machines are also designed with boring functionality now in order to keep up with the fast cycle time requirement.

CNC and automation

In the era of automated manufacturing, such as the automotive and 3C consumable electronics industries, manufacturers need to have higher-performance machining center machines to meet the trend of the 21st century.

The machine tool is the basic asset of the manufacturers, and plays a vital role in determining the final output of the product. Therefore, the quality of the machine tool is the key for the manufacturers to control the work performance.

Machine tool inventory changes from time to time. Therefore, after inventing the machining center and programmed control system (CNC, computer numerical control), compared with the previous standard, the processing standard has become more and more strict.

Future and trend

Since the development of machinery, engineers and scientists have tried to control those complex work units in an effective and safe way. Throughout the 20th century, with the invention of computers and the development of computer science, NC and CNC controllers can now complete more work for field operators and make all tasks easier than before.
